Organic Gardening at Kalachandji's (Weekly Series)
***** CLASSES ARE TEMPORARILY ON HOLD ***** This is a series of two-hour classes once a week on organic gardening, covering all aspects of the annual gardening cycle - starting from choosing plants, and ending with saving seeds for the next year. Some classes will include hands-on time with the instructor at Kalachandji's Community Garden, located across the street. Bring gloves if you want them!
Class 1 - Overview, Choosing Plants
Class 2 - Layouts and Planting Methods
Class 3 - Light and Water
Class 4 - Soil and Mulch
Class 5 - Compost and Fertilizer
Class 6 - Weeds and Pests
Class 7 - Harvesting and Seeds. CLASS SIZE: Maximum 30 students. LOCATION: Kalachandji's Restaurant (in the Activity Room). 5430 Gurley Ave, Dallas, TX 75223 COST: $70 for the series ($10 per class). $15 for an individual class.
